Jerri approaches her design process with each and every client through a simplified four step process to allow creativity and productivity be the driving focus towards each client’s specific design goals.
Jerri builds an aesthetic framework through mood boarding with her clients to begin every furniture design project. Her strengths include guiding design direction to evolve a product assortment while staying true to client brand language and the target consumer. She specializes in translating brand identities into unique designs that cater to the female buyer.
With a background in studio art Jerri begins each collaboration with hand-rendered perspective sketches, to capture the correct proportion and detail of the unique designs until the ideal iteration is reached with her client. Manufacturing location, materials and techniques are all taken into consideration in this early phase, as Jerri’s design experience has been built upon first hand knowledge of both domestic and overseas manufacturing in the U.S, South America, the Philippines, India, Vietnam and China.
Using a variety of software Jerri provides factory ready deliverables ranging from fully rendered sketches and digital models to formal CAD files exported to any format needed. Material and finish consultation based on the concept aesthetic and price considerations are also provided to ensure the highest rate of success in production.
In cases where clients would like Jerri to accompany the design sampling process, she commits to digital product reviews, travel to factories or manufacturing facilities both domestic and international as well as in-office assortment reviews.
